Fermi LAT Weekly report N.411



Covered period: 2016.Apr.18 - 2016.Apr.24
LAT Mission week: 411.57 - 412.57

  • PKS 2023-07 detected all week with daily flux between (2.6±0.3) and (0.4±0.2).
  • CTA 102 detected all week with daily flux between (1.3±0.2) and (1.0±0.2).
  • 3C 454.3 detected all week with daily flux between (1.1±0.2) and (0.6±0.2).
  • 3C 279 detected on 20 April with daily flux of (1.0±0.2).
  • Fermi J1057-6027 detected on 20 April with daily flux of (1.5±0.2).
  • PKS 1510-08 detected on 23 April with daily flux of (1.0±0.3).
  • PKS 2032+107 detected on 19 April with daily flux of (0.6±0.2). See the GCN/FERMI NOTICE #1461077778.
  • Cygnus X-3 (ATel#8970) and AGL J0917+1511 (ATel#8974) detected by AGILE during the week. LAT preliminary analyses cannot confirm these observations.
  • Correlated gamma-ray and X-ray activity observed from TXS 0059+581 (more details in ATel#8981).
  • Sporadic activity (fluxes below 1):TXS 2241+406, PKS 2032+107, FBQS J102333.5+395312, ON 393, PKS 1502+106, S5 0716+71, 1ES 1215+303, OJ 535, OJ 014, PKS 0454-234, OQ 253, S4 1030+61, 4C +01.02, B2 2113+29, PKS 0336-01, VER 0521+211, PKS 2136-642, 1ES 1959+650, BL Lac, NGC 1275, PKS 2155-304, 3C 66A, PKS 2233-148, PKS 0716+714, Mrk 421, S5 1044+71, Mrk 501, PKS 1424-41. .

Fluxes are in the unit of 10-6photons/cm2/s above 100 MeV. All errors are statistical only.

  • TXS 2241+406 detected all week with a daily flux between (0.6±0.1) and (1.4±0.2).
  • NRAO 676 detected on 11 Apr with daily flux (2.1± 0.3) and on 12 Apr with flux (1.1±0.2).
  • Sporadic activity (fluxes below 1): S5 0716+71, S4 1030+61, PKS 1441+25, 3C 279, FBQS J102333.5+395312, PKS 2032+107 (GCN/FERMI NOTICE #1461077778), Mrk 501, PKS 1502+106, 4C +01.02, Mrk 421, S4 1800+44, PKS 1256–220, BL Lacertae, B2 2113+29, NGC 1275, PKS 0454-234, 3C 66A, 3C 273, AO 0235+164, GB6 J1604+5714, PKS 2227-08, TXS 0059+581 (ATel#8981), S5 1044+71.

Fermi LAT Weekly report N. 409


Covered period: 2016 April 4-10
LAT Mission week: 409.57-410.57

  • Flare of the flat spectrum radio quasar PKS 2023-07 (NRAO 629) detected with the highest daily flux level of 2.0e-6 on April 9, and level of 1.7e-6 on April 10. See more details in GCN/Fermi Notice #1460300184 and ATel#8932. Increased activity from PKS 2023-07 has been observed by LAT from July 2015, and this follows about 5.5 years of a relatively quiescent state.
  • Flare of 4C +40.25 (or the nearby FBQS J102333.5+395312, both representing the double association of the source 3FGL J1023.1+3952) detected with daily flux level of 1.2e-6 on April 6.
  • CTA 102 bright all the week with daily fluxes between 1.0e-6 and 1.4e-6.
  • 3C 454.3 detected all week with daily fluxes between 0.8e-6 and 1.3e-6.
  • 4C +01.02 (PKS 0106+01) detected all week with daily fluxes between 0.6e-6 and 1.0e-6.
  • NRAO 676 observed with a renewed activity after about 2.5 years, being detected in some days of the week with daily fluxes between 0.7e-6 and 0.9e-6.
  • TXS 2241+406 detected all week with daily fluxes between 0.6e-6 and 0.8e-6.
  • TXS 2358+209 detected in some days of the week with daily fluxes between 0.6e-6 and 0.9e-6.
  • 3C 279 detected in some days of the week with daily fluxes between 0.4e-6 and 0.9e-6.
  • PKS 1424-41 detected in some days of the week with daily fluxes between 0.5e-6 and 0.8e-6.
  • BL Lac detected in some days of the week with daily fluxes between 0.3e-6 and 0.8e-6.
  • S5 1039+81 in some days of the week with daily fluxes between 0.4e-6 and 0.7e-6.
  • PKS 1441+25 detected on April 5 with daily flux level of 0.5e-6
  • Detection in the vicinity of PKS 0047+023 on April 7, with daily flux 0.8e-6.
  • PKS 1502+106, PKS 1510-08, and PKS 2032+107 all sporadically detected at about 0.7e-6.
  • Other blazars of the week detected, also sporadically, around or below the daily flux level of 0.5e-6: B2 2113+29, 3C 273, OX 169, ON 246, Mkn 501, Mkn 421, 1ES 1959+650, 1ES 1215+303, S5 0716+71, S5 1044+71, S4 1030+61, NGC 1275, TXS 2358+209, TXS 0943+105, PKS 1256-220, PKS 0454-234, PKS 1824-582, PKS 0537-441, PKS 2136-642, VER 0521+211, PMN J2141-6411, PMN J1024+0056, 3C 66A, 4C +38.41 (B2 1633+38), AO 0235+164.

Fermi LAT Weekly report N. 408


Covered period: 2016 March 28 - April 3
LAT Mission week: 408.57-409.57

  • CTA 102 is the brightest extragalactic source of the week with daily fluxes between 1.3e-6 and 2.9e-6. 
  • 3C 454.3 detected all week with daily fluxes between 0.7e-6 and 1.2e-6.
  • TXS 2241+406 detected all week with daily fluxes between 0.5e-6 and 1.0e-6, peaking in the first part of the week.
  • TXS 2358+209 detected in high state with daily flux 1.0e-6 on April 2.
  • S4 1800+44 detected in high state with daily flux 0.8e-6 on March 31.
  • 4C +01.02 (PKS 0106+01) detected all week with daily fluxes between 0.7e-6 and 0.9e-6.
  • Detection, on March 30, in the vicinity of both 1RXS J053629.4-334302 (2FHL J0536.4-3342) and PKS 0534-340 (no LAT catalogs) with daily flux 0.4e-6.
  • MH 2136-428 detected with daily hard photon spectral index of 1.4+/-0.2 on April 1st.
  • Further blazars detected in bright state in some days of the week, with daily fluxes between 0.5e-6 and 0.7e-6: PKS 2023-07, PKS 1502+106, 3C 279, PKS 1424-41, NGC 1275, S5 1044+71, NRAO 676 (TXS 2159+505).
  • Other blazars of the week detected, also sporadically, around or below the daily flux level of 0.5e-6: S5 0716+71, S5 1039+81, 1ES 1215+303, BL Lac, OJ 287, Mkn 421, Ton 599, S4 1030+61, PKS 1510-08, AO 0235+164, TXS 2358+209, 4C +01.28 (PKS 1055+01), PKS 0454-234, PKS 2155-304, PKS 2136-642, B2 2113+29.
